Millions of people from all accross the world are wearing GIldan products every day without knowing that the brandname Gildan is quite famous, Gildan Actiwear, Inc being one of the biggest T-shirts manufacturer in the world. Gildan products are sold as much for wholesale as for companies willing to personalize them with their logos.

Gildan was founded in 1984 as Textiles Gildan Inc. It changed its name later into Gildan Actiwear Inc.
At the beginning of the '90s Gildan gained fame and reputation by producing cheap and good-quality T-shirts.
In 2003 Gildan Actiwear Inc. founded a new factory in Cedartown, Georgia, USA, next to its factories already existing in Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Haiti and Canada.
In 2006 sales at Gildan Actiwear Inc. have exceeded 700 million USD.

 Beginnin from 2006, Gildan started manufacturing athletic socks and underwear, widening its portfolio of products which already contained T-shirts, sweaters, shirts and polo piques.
